The latest West Ham United transfer exclusive has indicated that Callum Wilson could yet emerge as a target for David Moyes’ side.

Callum Wilson To West Ham

Interest around Newcastle United‘s openness to selling first-team players continues, and the situation around Wilson is now at the stage where he is available.

The understanding is it will take around £18million to sign him, and clubs across the Premier League are being made aware of the situation.

For many, that price-point will remain out of reach but it could tempt West Ham to consider a deal as they have been looking at striker options pretty seriously.

There have been some whispers out of the club that they would prefer not to spend big, but Wilson would fit the bill if they do want to sign a proven striker.

The Hammers have already been linked with £35million Armando Broja, and Wilson is half that price. West Ham also continue to look into the signing of Jota from Al-Ittihad and Ibrahim Osman from Nordsjaelland.

Kieran Trippier And Callum Wilson On The Move?

A couple of clubs have been in touch with the Magpies about the idea of an initial loan deal for Wilson, but sources claim that is not really something of interest in their current situation.

Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United are also being linked as all three clubs are open to signing a new forward, but so far there is not believed to have been any progress on those fronts.

Newcastle are trying to open up funds for the next phase of their squad rebuild and in doing so they, are open to losing players that are not so integral to the long-term future as players like Bruno Guimaraes and Alexander Isak.

Earlier in the week it seemed even Kieran Trippier could be leaving the club, as Bayern Munich managed to turn his head.

There is still a feeling that would have turned into a transfer if Bayern had a more realistic view of Trippier’s market value, but the defender is set to stay at the club for now.
