David Moyes has been speaking to the media ahead of his club’s trip to Gent in the Europa Conference League. Moyes has confirmed the West Ham team news.
The quarter-final clash comes as a welcome break from their Premier League relegation battle. Moyes will be keen to use the game to build momentum, whilst not losing any players to injury.
The main talking point from the West Ham team news is Lucas Paqueta has travelled with the team after missing Saturday’s win over Fulham.

Speaking about Paqueta, Moyes said:
“He got quite a bad knock against Newcastle and he trained a bit on Friday and we thought he would be okay but his ankle was just too puffy,
“He has now trained a couple of days and he is back.”
West Ham Team News: What Else Did Moyes Say?
Moyes wasn’t just talking about players who are available, but on the importance of the games upcoming for the club.
They’ve got a game in hand Nottingham Forest in 18th, but are only three points above them. Moyes is well aware that his team are in a battle for their Premier League safety.
On the game, Moyes said:
“I’m not going to give too much away but we’ve obviously got a lot of important games,
“I’m sure Gent have a lot of important games as well, it’s not just us. We’ve got a situation in the Premier League where we have to keep trying to win our games.
“But the chance to get through to a semi-final, we have to try and take every opportunity we can and I wouldn’t want to give that up easily.”
It’s a tough balancing act for Moyes but the West Ham team news will fill their fans with hope they can reach a European quarter-final.
