West Ham have joined Real Madrid for the most victories in Europe’s major tournaments since 2021/22- as both clubs sit on a total of 22.

The Hammers stunned the footballing world during the 2022-23 campaign, as they clinched the Europa Conference League trophy and secure their first silverware in Europe.
During the campaign, David Moyes’ side remained unbeaten and were the only side to not suffer a defeat in any of Europe’s elite competitions.
In a group including, Anderlecht, Silkeborg and FCSB, West Ham topped the tree and finished on a flawless 18 points.
The side from east London then eased through the round of 16, beating AEK Larnaca 6-0 across two legs and made their way to the quarter finals.
After a 1-1 draw with Gent in the opening leg, West Ham continued their invincible streak in Europe and went on to secure a 4-1 victory in the deciding match.
AZ Alkmaar awaited the Hammers in the Europa Conference League semi-finals and after a 3-1 aggregate victory – West Ham were in the final.
David Moyes’ side faced Fiorentina and took the lead from the penalty spot, thanks to a well dispatched finish from Said Benhrama but were pegged back minutes later by Giacomo Bonaventura.
The match looked set for extra-time, however, in the 90th minute Jarrod Bowen found himself one-on-one with the Fiorentina keeper and the Englishman slotted the ball home to make history for the Hammers.

2021/22:
Prior to this season, West Ham competed in the Europa League and topped a their group over Dinamo Zagreb, Rapie Wien and Genk – picking up 4W, 1D and 1L.
Sevilla were up next for the Hammers the round of 16 and the Spanish side edged West Ham in the opening leg 1-0. However, David Moyes’ side turned things around in the second leg – winning 2-0 and progressing to the next round.
The Premier League side then faced Lyon, drawing 1-1 in the opening tie and clinching the victory with an emphatic 3-1 win to make the semi-finals.
Unfortunately for the Hammers, their run in the tournament would end in the following matches, as Frankfurt clinched 2-1 and 1-0 victories to send West Ham out of Europe.
2022/23:
West Ham are back in Europe’s secondary competition, as they currently top Group A over Freiburg, Olympiacos and Backa Topola.
The Hammers have picked up four wins from the opening five group stage matches and have qualified for the round of 16.
Their only loss in Europe since that semi-final defeat to Frankfurt in 2022 came against Olympiacos in October – losing 2-1.
