Ross Smith is bidding for his first PDC World Championship this year, but he appeared to encounter some trouble with a wasp following his first round win on Wednesday night.

Ross Smith had to take a second look at his hand during his post match interview, with the ‘Ally Pally wasp’ stinging ‘Smudge’ after his World Championship first round win.
Smith easily dispatched of Niels Zonneveld on Wednesday afternoon to secure a spot in the last 32, where he will face either William O’Connor or Chris Dobey.
The 3-1 win was arguably the easiest part of the night for Smudge, who encountered a pesty wasp during his post match interview on Sky Sports.
Smith laughed off the incident in his interview though and the ‘injury’ certainly won’t prevent him from competing in the next round of the World Championship.
Ross Smith Next Match
Ross Smith will face the winner of Chris Dobey vs William O’Connor in the last 32 of the World Championship – with the pair facing off on the 22nd of December.
