If Wales are to qualify for the Euro’s in Germany next summer, they’ll need to do so by getting through the tricky play-offs.
Wales came into the game knowing they’d need to get something against group toppers Turkey and hope Armenia beat Croatia to qualify for Euro 2024.
Neco Williams of Nottingham forest scored the opening goal for Wales within the first 10 minutes. Williams fantastically found the bottom corner to send the Welsh fans wild.

Wales looked good throughout the first half, and they were unlucky not to get a penalty from one of their three shouts.
With Wales winning and Croatia drawing, Wales thought their luck might be in. Many fans in the stadium had their eyes on updates over in Croatia, and just before half-time their heads dropped as Ante Budimir put Croatia ahead. That goal meant no matter what Wales did, they’d still be second if Croatia held on.
As Croatia looked increasingly likely to secure the second spot, Turkey were given a penalty. The decision to given Turkey a penalty caused outrage amongst Welsh fans and pundits.

With final whistles blown in Croatia and Wales, the Welsh side had their play-off spot confirmed for the upcoming Euros.
Who will Wales face in the play-offs?
Wales came into the game knowing that they’d have the comfort of a home play-off tie should they fail to finish in the top two.
Wales will face either Finland, Ukraine, or Iceland in a home play-off semi-final, with the draw to take place on Thursday.
The semi-final will be on Thursday, 21 March 2024 in Cardiff. The final will be five days later, Tuesday, 26 March 2024, with the hosts also decided by a draw.
Wales will find out what group they’ll be in if they’re successful in the play-offs when the draw is made on December 2nd.
As a result, the best UK betting sites now make Wales as big as 500/1 to win Euro 2024, with England one of the favourites at 7/2.
