Vinicius Jr Reveals He Texted Jude Bellingham ‘For Months’ To Get Him To Sign For Real Madrid

Real Madrid winger Vinicius Junior has revealed that he texted both Eduardo Camavinga and Jude Bellingham for months to help the club lure them to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Jude Bellingham has taken the La Liga by storm since joining Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund earlier in the summer, bagging 10 goals and three assists in just 10 appearances in all competitions.

The England international has been tipped for greatness for several years, and the likes of Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain and many more were all interested, however it was the prospect of becoming a Galactico at the Santiago Bernabeu that appealed most in the end.

Los Blancos have a strong core of youthful world class talent, as well as the experience of the likes of Luka Modric, Toni Kroos and David Alaba, but one person who looks to have played a key role in Bellingham’s arrival in the Spanish capital is Vinicius Junior.

Speaking to French outlet L’Equipe, the Brazilian revealed that he’d texted Bellingham, as well as Eduardo Camavinga, for months in an attempt to lure the pair to play under Carlo Ancelotti.

“I didn’t know Bellingham but I knew that other teams wanted him so I texted him…” he said in an interview.

“I did the same as I did with Camavinga: texting for months and telling Real is the best club in the world.”

“Juni Calafat knows that if I can help him, I will.”

Bellingham and Vinicius Junior have formed a strong bond in a just a small space of time in Madrid, and the Brazil international has claimed that the Stourbridge-born midfielder was ‘made’ to play for Real Madrid, and that he hopes they can continue playing together for many years.

“Bellingham was born to play for Real Madrid, that’s very clear.” he claimed.

“I hope we will play together for many years as we are all very happy to have him as teammate.”
