SportsLens have compiled exclusive Victor Osimhen next club odds, with Chelsea the club best positioned to sign the Napoli striker as it stands – despite rumoured Arsenal interest.

After a reported breakdown in contract talks, Osimhen has been the subject of much transfer speculation. The 24-year-old has a deal in Naples until June 2025, and an extension seems far from imminent.

However, the Nigerian striker commands a massive release clause north of £100 million, which makes a January move appear unlikely.

Osimhen has found the back of the net six times in 11 matches this campaign, following his pivotal role in guiding Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years. Last season, he scored an impressive 31 goals in 39 appearances.

Victor Osimhen Next Club Odds: Chelsea’s #1 Striker Target

Osimhen is Chelsea’s main transfer target and is reported to be keen on the move to the West London club. The club are crying out for a top-class centre forward, following a mixed return from summer signing Nicolas Jackson.

However, Todd Boehly will have to break the bank yet again as Napoli are likely to command a hefty fee. The Blues have already signed two players over the £100 million mark since Boehly acquired the club, having signed Enzo Fernandez for £106.8 million in January 2023 before buying Moises Caicedo the following summer for £115 million.

Another club that may look to the Nigerian to fix their goalscoring problems is Arsenal. Mikel Arteta’s side are looking to go one step further than last campaign, where they narrowly missed out on their first Premier League in 20 years to the dominant Manchester City.

In order to close the gap, the Gunners may need to bring in a direct rival to Erling Haaland, as there are questions surrounding the goalscoring abilities of current strikers Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah.

If a deal can’t be reached between either club, Osimhen could make the switch to the Saudi Pro League, joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Neymar, Karim Benzema, and former teammate Kalidou Koulibaly.

Other sides that could swoop in for the Azzuri striker include PSG, Real Madrid, and Tottenham, who are yet to directly replace Harry Kane.
