Tottenham have signed 16-year-old centre-back Luka Vuskovic from Hadjuk Split for £12million. However, he will not be able to join officially until 2025. That’s because following the United Kingdom’s EU exit in 2020, players from overseas are not allowed to join until they turn 18.
Spurs have fought off competition from Manchester City to sign Vuskovic for £12m. It’s understood City tried to sign him in March with a bid of £10.2m but an agreement couldn’t be made.
Vuskovic only made his professional debut in February. Since then he has appeared in 11 games in all competitions for Hadjuk Split. He is also Split’s youngest ever goal scorer having found the back of the net last season at the age of 16 years and five days old. He is reportedly one of the biggest talents in Europe.
