With the Premier League returning last weekend following the international break, teams will be keen to hit the ground running and build momentum heading into the busy festive schedule. But which players are suspended for game week 14?
Ten players are currently banned, meaning seven different sides will be without these suspended players for at least the next match, something FPL players will want to remember when selecting their squads for the weekend.
Arsenal are without Fabio Viera until GW16 as he continues to serve a three-game ban following his straight red card against Burnley. The Spaniard will also miss the Gunners’ trip to Luton next Tuesday but is free to play again against Aston Villa on Saturday 9 December.
Unai Emery’s Aston Villa will be missing Boubacar Kamara against Bournemouth on Sunday, as the midfielder picked up a fifth yellow card last time out in Villa’s 2-1 win at Tottenham. Kamara is however back in contention for the Manchester City game three days later on Wednesday 6 December.
Ivan Toney remains suspended for Brentford following his eight-month ban in May for breaching FA betting rules. The striker, capped once by England, will be unavailable until GW21, meaning he won’t play again in 2023 and will complete his suspension in January.

Suspended Seagulls and Banned Blues
Two Brighton players are currently suspended, with captain Lewis Dunk banned for two games following his red card against Nottingham Forest. Midfielder Mahmoud Dahoud is also suspended, with the pair set to return in GW16 as Brighton host Burnley on Saturday 9 December. The high-flying Seagulls could finish the weekend as high as sixth in the Premier League, but must manage without these two important players as they travel to Chelsea on Sunday.
In the opposing dugout, Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino has somewhat of a selection headache in defence, with both his own captain Reece James and Marc Cucurella banned for their next match against Brighton on Sunday. This means the Blues are missing two starting fullbacks and may have to reconfigure their shape to accommodate the lack of options at the back this weekend, though both will be available for the next game away to Manchester United on Wednesday 6 December.
It was against Chelsea that Tottenham’s Christian Romero saw red for a high challenge on Enzo Fernandez. The Argentine serves the final match of his three-game ban this weekend and is therefore back in contention on Thursday 7 December as Spurs host West Ham, though manager Ange Postecoglou will be disappointed to be without Romero for the trip to champions Manchester City this Sunday.
Who are Wolves missing this weekend?
Wolves are another side with two players suspended for game week 14. The West Midlands outfit must make do without midfielders Joao Gomes and Mario Lemina, both of whom picked up their fifth yellow card of the season against Fulham in Monday’s 3-2 defeat at Craven Cottage. The pair will be available again for Wolves’ game against Burnley at the Molineux on Tuesday 5 December, and with five yellows each already, both may be a good bet for another should they feature.
This weekend’s Premier League fixtures get underway on Saturday at 3:00pm with Arenal Vs Wolves, Brentford Vs Luton and Burnley Vs Sheffield United. They are followed by Nottingham Forest Vs Everton at 5:30pm on live on Sky Sports and Newcastle United vs Manchester United on BT Sport.
