Reigning IBF World Flyweight Champion Sunny Edwards is a man with extensive knowledge when it comes to boxing. It’s fair to say that the undefeated world champion is a man who isn’t afraid to vocalise his opinion. This week is no different, with Sunny Edwards giving his Leigh Wood vs Josh Warrington prediction.

Sunny Edwards Leaning Towards A Leigh Wood Victory
Sunny Edwards certainly knows a thing or two when it comes to the sport of boxing. The reigning flyweight world champion is heavily talked about in boxing circles in the UK right now, given his vocal nature and huge presence on social media.
Edwards faces Jesse Rodriguez in a compelling flyweight unification bout in December in what is the biggest fight of his boxing career. ‘Showtime’ goes into the bout as the underdog with the best UK sports betting sites, but will be confident of travelling to the United States and returning with more world title belts.
When it comes to giving an opinion about boxing, people tend to listen to Sunny Edwards. This weekend is no different with Edwards making a bold prediction ahead of the Leigh Wood vs Josh Warrington fight in Sheffield on Saturday night.
With just days until fight night, UK boxing fans can watch the Wood vs Warrington fight live on DAZN. Who will win – Nottingham or Leeds? The best boxing betting sites are favouring the champion, with ‘The Leeds Warrior’ the slight underdog for this all-British world title affair.

In a recent interview with Boxing News, ‘Showtime’ insists he is finding it hard to pick a winner, but gives the slight edge to the Nottingham man based on his last few performances:
“It’s a great fight. I like both of them, I’m actually friends with both of them. Josh [Warrington] you can never write off. Before he had even made it everyone was trying to write him off. Look at the Lee Selby and Carl Frampton fights – you can’t write him off,” Edwards commented in a recent interview with Boxing News.
“I think Leigh Wood probably goes in as the fresher and more favourable. One thing that Leigh is very good at is sitting at the end of range with his long leavers and throwing powerful shots. But at the same time, I think he gets to round seven or eight in a fight and he’s quite spent.
“Whereas Josh keeps going and he is rough and rugged. I hate to say it because I like them both but I’d lean towards Leigh Wood. Purely based on those last few performances but as I said, you can never write Josh Warrington off.”
