Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson has wished his former player Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez well upon his return to boyhood club Club Deportivo Guadalajara, known as Chivas.
Hernandez Rejoins Chivas
Javier Hernandez rejoined his boyhood club Chivas on Wednesday, returning to the club he began his professional career with in 2006.
Hernandez, who is the all-time leading goal scorer for Mexico, spent four years in Chivas’ senior squad before landing his dream move to European giants Manchester United.
Chicarito then went on to have spells at Real Madrid, Bundesliga table toppers Bayer Leverkusen, West Ham and Sevilla, before settling at LA Galaxy.
However, having ruptured his ACL in June, Hernandez missed the remainder of the 2023 MLS campaign and subsequently left the club in November, leaving him free to sign a contract with Chivas.
Always classy, Sir Alex 🫶
