Everton are expected to agree a deal with former Burnley manager Sean Dyche, a matter of days after the club axed Frank Lampard.
Marcelo Bielsa was reported to have flown into London yesterday to restart negotiations after he initially claimed that the current squad were ‘too slow’ to adhere to his style of play. The Argentine has been jobless since leaving Leeds and had reportedly been interested in a new challenge.
However, the talks appeared to have fallen through, which has left Dyche an 11/10 front-runner, according to UK betting sites. Yet, the length of the contract is still an ongoing debate as the 51-year-old is said to be against a short-term deal.
Dyche managed to guide Burnley to two promotions from the Championship and made the Clarets a consistent Premier League side in just under a decade. He also guided Burnley to their first European qualification in over 50 years after they finished in seventh place in 2017-18.

His successful time at Burnley should be a positive sign for Everton fans, who have become accustom to new managers. This appointment will see Toffees owner Farhad Moshiri make his seventh managerial appointment since buying the club back in 2016.
The blue side of Merseyside will be hoping the appointment is completed in time for their next Premier League next fixture. They welcome table-topping Arsenal to Goodison Park, with the Toffees in need of a miracle performance to be only the second team to beat the Gunners this season.
