Liverpool midfield duo Fabinho and Jordan Henderson look set to be on the move to Saudi Arabia this summer in a pair of big-money deals.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Fabinho will not travel with Liverpool to Germany for the club’s pre-season tour as talks over a transfer to Al-Ittihad are now advanced with personal terms agreed.

However, Jordan Henderson’s case is slightly different – he has already agreed terms with Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq, but the two clubs remain far apart on a fee agreement and the captain will travel to Germany.

Al-Ittihad have submitted a £40m bid to sign Fabinho, which looks set to meet Liverpool’s valuation of the player and we can expect this deal to move quickly in the coming hours or days.

The Brazilian joined Liverpool from Monaco in 2018 and has made 219 appearances for the Reds, winning the Premier League and Champions League during his time at Anfield.

Reports suggest that prior to interest from Saudi Arabia, Liverpool had already been assessing longer-term candidates to replace the player and Brighton’s Moses Caicedo is on that list alongside Kalvin Phillips and Romeo Lavia.

Liverpool’s asking price for Jordan Henderson is anticipated to be around the £20m mark, with Gerrard’s new side offering the 33-year-old an incredible £700,000-a-week contract to make the switch.

Romano reports that Al-Ettifaq were convinced they’d be able to sign Henderson on a free transfer at the beginning of their negotiations, which Liverpool have no intention of agreeing.
