Salford vs Burnley Prediction

Both Salford and Burnley are in considerably awful form in their respective leagues, with Tuesday evening’s hosts currently lingering above the League Two relegation zone in 21st, whilst the Clarets sit in 19th place in the Premier League – yet to record a win.

Despite their poor form in their leagues, both sides secured victories in the second round to advance to this week’s third round. The Ammies defeated Championship outfit Leeds on penalties in their impressive triumph, whilst Vincent Kompany’s side narrowly beat fellow Premier League side Nottingham Forest 1-0.

Even though the win over Forest is their only victory of the campaign thus far, we at SportsLens can only see this clash going one way – and that’s a Burnley win. We think that the gap in quality between League Two and the Premier League will prove too much for Salford, and that their five game losing streak will extend to six matches following the Clarets’ Carabao Cup visit.

Salford vs Burnley Betting Tips

  • Both Teams To Score @ 4/5
  • Bet Builder Odds @ 7/2

Salford vs Burnley Betting Tip 1: Burnley Half Time/Full Time @ 21/20

Our first tip for your Salford vs Burnley Carabao Cup bet builder is to back the Clarets to lead at both half time and full time at 21/20.

As we’ve previously eluded to, Burnley have been in terrible form in the English top flight, but luckily for them – Salford are in a similar vein of form down in League Two, so we expect that the Premier League side will make slight work of the Greater Manchester outfit at the Peninsula.

The difference in quality between their respective leagues should be clear to see, and we believe that the Clarets will have no issue in front of goal, and will put plenty past a Salford side who have shipped 10 goals in their last four matches in all competitions – and are backing the Premier League side lead at both half time and full time.

Salford vs Burnley Betting Tip 2: Both Teams To Score @ 4/5

Our next tip for your bet builders is to back both teams to score in Tuesday evening’s Carabao Cup meeting, priced at 4/5 by many of the UK’s top bookmakers.

Although we expect the visitors to have no trouble in advancing to the fourth round, we think that they’ll concede at least once, however we don’t think that the goal will have any bearing on the end result of the match.

Despite their poor league form, Salford have scored in two of their last three matches, whilst Burnley have conceded in all five of their matches in the Premier League thus far this term, and we expect the same feat to be achieved at the Peninsula with both teams getting on the scoresheet.
