Bayern Munich midfielder Ryan Gravenberch has told Dutch media that he wants more gametime next season, amid reports linking him with moves to some of the Premier League‘s big six.

Ryan Gravenberch has been the subject of transfer speculation for several months now, with the likes of Manchester United, Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal all having been linked to the midfielder.

The Dutchman joined Bayern Munich last summer from boyhood club Ajax after an impressive spell in the Eredivisie side’s first-team. However, his move hasn’t quite gone to plan as of yet.

In his first season in Munich, he made just three Bundesliga starts, with a further 21 appearances from the bench. He also made two starts in the Champions League, as well as four substitute appearances.

This seemingly isn’t good enough for the 21-year-old, who has since told Dutch media that he wants more gametime next season, whether that be at Bayern or not.

“I want to play more… preferably at Bayern. Otherwise at a club where I’ll 100% play. That’s my plan.” he told De Telegraaf.

“I don’t want to have another year like the one I’ve just had — I’ll speak to the coach in the next weeks then we will see.”

Gravenberch has previously expressed his frustration at his lack of gametime throughout the 2022/23 campaign.

“Training and playing at the top level for a year is instructive but it has to change next season — I really want to play week in week out again.” he told Voetbal International in April.

“I haven’t spoken to the board yet. But it’s clear that this role does not match my expectations.”
