Roma are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United midfielder, Scott McTominay, despite heavy rumours over a move to Brighton.
The Scottish international has become a household name in English football over recent years, making 209 appearances for Manchester united – contributing to 24 goals in the process.
However, after dropping down the pecking order at Old Trafford last season, with Erik ten Hag opting for the likes of Casemiro, Christian Eriksen and Bruno Fernandes, the 26-year-old is set to leave the club this summer.
Roma manager, and the man who gave McTominay his professional debut in Manchester, Jose Mourinho, is reportedly keen on signing the Scotsman.
The Serie A side reached the Europa League final and have already added a host of star names to their squad, including the likes of Evan Ndicka and Houssem Aouar.

Mourinho’s side are not the only possible suitors for McTominay, as Premier League high-flyers, Brighton and Hove Albion, are also reportedly keen on landing the Scottish midfielder.
The Seagulls have recently signed James Milner and Mahmoud Dahoud, as they look to re-build the midfield following Alexis Mac Allister’s move to Liverpool.
Moises Caicedo is also set to leave the Amex this summer, attracting heavy interest from Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. However, the Ecuadorian international is set to cost over £80m, which could be a stumbling block in negotiations.
United are keen on using McTominay in a deal to sign the 21-year-old from Brighton, as due to a limited summer budget the Red Devils cannot meet the £80m asking price.
