Roma manager Jose Mourinho is reportedly considering a raid on Leicester City’s frontline, as they eye a double swoop for Kelechi Iheanacho and Patson Daka.

Serie A side Roma are believed to be eyeing a double swoop for Leicester City forwards Kelechi Iheanacho and Patson Daka following the Foxes’ relegation to the Championship.

Jose Mourinho is said to have been keeping tabs on the pair for the best part of two years, and has previously stated his admiration for African strikers.

Italian outlet La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that now is the perfect time for Roma to pounce due to Leicester’s need to raise funds to sustain life in the second tier.

The Europa League runners-up have already sent representatives to the United Kingdom in pursuit of a deal for West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca, however negotiations have reportedly hit a stumbling block, and they will now seek more information in regards to the availability of Iheanacho and Daka.

Daka and Iheanacho already have plenty of admirers in the Premier League, and throughout Europe, with Everton, Nottingham Forest, Besiktas and Galatasary all having been linked with the striking duo.

However, the chance to play in one of Europe’s top five leagues, as well as in European football may prove to be a powerful bargaining chip for Mourinho’s side, who have qualified for the Europa League once more.

Leicester have already been active in the transfer market, with a few outgoings, as well as several reported incomings.

Youri Tielemans has left the club, joining Conference League side Aston Villa, and James Maddison has completed a £40million move to Tottenham.

Reports have claimed that the Foxes have completed two signings in the form of Harry Winks and Conor Coady, however neither have been formally announced as of yet.
