Rasmus Hojlund set a new Premier League record in Manchester United’s 2-1 win against Luton Town.
Hojlund’s opening goal at Kenilworth Road after 37 seconds set Erik ten Hag’s side on their way after a defensive mistake from the home side.
The Dane scored his and United’s second with a brilliantly instinctive finish with just seven minutes on the clock. Although Carlton Morris pulled one back, the Red Devils held on to take all three points.
After a difficult start to life at Old Trafford, Hojlund is arguably the most in form player in England’s elite division at the moment.
Rasmus Hojlund Premier League Record
Rasmus Hojlund is now the youngest player to score in six consecutive Premier League games. It’s a remarkable feat to have completed after a barren run in front of goal during his first 14 appearances in England’s elite.
At 21 years and 14 days, Hojlund now holds the record which was previously held by Newcastle United‘s Joe Willock. The Magpies midfielder was 21 years and 272 days when he scored in six consecutive games.
Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland takes third place. He was 22 years and 73 days when he scored in six Premier League games between August and October 2022.
Romelu Lukaku set his streak in 2015 during his Everton days. The Belgian was 22 years and 213 days when he netted throughout November and December.
Completing the top five is Arsenal legend Thierry Henry. The Frenchman scored in six successive Premier League games between March and May 2000. He was 22 years and 263 days at the time.

Rasmus Hojlund Premier League Stats
It’s no secret that Rasmus Hojlund struggled for goals in the Premier League during the first half of the 2023/24 campaign.
Hojlund’s upturn in fortunes reportedly coincided with a lengthy talk with former Manchester United striker Robin van Persie.
Whatever the Dutchman advised Hojlund, it has clearly worked wonders. The Dane’s hot streak began on Boxing Day when he netted the winner against Aston Villa.
Hojlund scored and assisted against Tottenham and Wolves in his next two games. Further strikes against West Ham, Villa and Luton meant the record was his.
Overall, the summer signing from Atalanta has seven goals and two assists in 20 Premier League appearances this season.
Sean Millis And Rasmus Hojlund
During his goalless streak, Rasmus Hojlund was likened to Australian singer and Tik Tok star Sean Millis. The unlikely pair’s uncanny resemblance to each other saw plenty of playful fun poked at Hojlund.
A series of videos and memes dominated social media. However, Hojlund is definitely having the last laugh after his brilliant form in front of goal.
Millis first came to attention when he appeared on Australia’s version of ‘The Voice.’ He wowed the judges over with a rendition of ‘7 Years’ by Lukas Graham.
The 22-year-old star has even sent Hojlund messages of support. It’s fair to assume that they have genuinely worked in recent weeks.
Manchester United are next in action against Fulham at Old Trafford on February 24. The best UK betting sites have Hojlund priced at 27/20 to score anytime.
