GREAT CHIEFTAIN, runner-up over course and distance last time, now wears blinkers and remains open to improvement on his second start since a gelding operation.

ALINTA (system – Paddy Twomey newcomers)
Paddy Twomey has a 27 from 113 (23.9%) record with his newcomers and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £62.56 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 18.54, A/E = 1.46) and ALINTA, a daughter of Australia, can take this 1m4f fillies’ maiden on her first day at school.
RIPON 6.20
BLUE POINT EXPRESS (system – Charlie Johnson, 2yo fillies on debut, sprints only)
Juvenile fillies trained by Charlie Johnston (and Mark Johnston previously) do well when making their debut over 5f-6f, landing 55 of their 247 starts (22.3%) for a profit of £93.61. Substitute was a 14-1 Ripon winner on this angle last month and perhaps BLUE POINT EXPRESS can follow suit.
