LEICESTER 4.38

MOTHER MARY (system – Richard Hughes, stable switchers on turf)

Richard Hughes does well at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, especially on turf, scoring with six of the 30 qualifiers for a profit of £34.88 to a £1 level stake at SP. In Class 4 or lower company the score is six from 23 (+£41.88) and MOTHER MARY, not beaten by far when eighth of ten in a 1m Class 2 fillies’ handicap at Ascot last month on her final outing for James Ferguson, could be the answer to this Class 4 contest.

WOLVERHAMPTON 6.00

DILLYDINGDILLYDONG (system – James Owen stable switchers, all-weather)

James Owen is five from 14 at the first-time of asking with all-weather runners that he takes over from other handlers (+£14.35 to a £1 level stake at SP) and those who made their yard debut at Wolverhampton recorded form figures of 11112 (4-5). DILLYDINGDILLYDONG failed to score in 23 runs for Richard Hannon but might be able to reward each-way support in the first-time cheekpieces.

WOLVERHAMPTON 7.30

CAREY STREET (system – Tony Carroll, second run for the yard, all-weather, Class 6, recent run)

Tony Carroll does well on the all-weather at the second time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, especially with the runners who made their stable debut within the last six weeks. He’s scored with 14 of the 74 qualifiers since 2014 for a profit of £37.02 and seven of those winners came here at Wolverhampton. Four-time course winner CAREY STREET has a wide draw to overcome but shaped well on his stable debut at Bath last month, fading into a 22-1 fifth of 13 on his first start for 126 days and he has the early speed to negate his draw.
