MAX DYNAMO (system – Midnight Legend Chasers, February to June)
Progeny of Midnight Legend tend to come good in the latter stages of the peak jumps season and backing all the sire’s chasers from February to June would have found 253 winners from 1416 bets (17.9% strike-rate) and returned a profit of £216.90 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 204.84, A/E = 1.24). MAX DYNAMO is a 14-year-old but will find this company more to his liking after pulling up in the Welsh National and can hit the frame at a big price.

CREAM OF THE WEST (system – 3m+ handicap hurdles, last-time out winners, speed angle)
CREAM OF THE WEST clocked a fast time (according to Proform’s speed figures) when successful over 2.5.5f here in December and looks a good bet to follow up. Since 2012, last-time out winners who were awarded a Proform figure of 67 or bigger are 129 from 471 (27.4%) when bidding to follow up in a handicap hurdle over 3m or further and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £135.07 to a £1 level stake at SP. ENEMY AT THE GATE, who chased home the selection last time, could again be the one for the forecast.

KODEBREAKER (system – low draw)
KODEBREAKER is something of an oddball who seems happiest when having the comfort of a rail draw. His record when drawn in stall 1 reads 311120 (3-6) but is 0-39 when drawn in stall 2 or higher. He’s arguably best around a turn but he should get a good pace to aim at in this 7f apprentice handicap and can keep on late into the frame.
