DAVID’S DIVA (system – Rod Millman, handicap debutants, all-weather)
Since the beginning of 2018, Rod Millman is six from 29 with his handicap debutants on the all-weather for a profit of £30.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. DAVID’S DIVA caught the eye when a 12-1 third in novice company at Chelmsford last time, doing best of those drawn high, and can get off the mark in this Class 6 contest. The Master Carpenter filly will appreciate the step back up from 7f and her wide draw could be an asset, as she’ll be well clear of the inside rail where the Polytrack surface is usually slower.

AUBIS WALK (system – Nicky Richards, handicap hurdle to handicap chase switchers)
Nicky Richards has a cracking recent record when switching one of his runners from handicap hurdle to handicap chase company, scoring with nine of the 28 qualifiers since the beginning of 2019 for a profit of £34.38 to a £1 level stake at SP. Conniston Clouds, his latest runner on this system, won at 11-2 when highlighted in this column last month and perhaps AUBIS WALK can follow suit.

John Butler’s PINK JAZZ tends to pop up at least once every winter and the time to back him is in the peak winter period of December to February, ideally when the money is down.
