This century, had we bet all Venetia Williams-trained handicap chasers in the month of November we’d have won 119 of our 608 bets (19.6%) and made a huge profit of £204.51 to a £1 level stake at SP. HAUT FOLIN pulled up in three of his four starts for the yard last season but he might have need a year to acclimatise after leaving France and should be capable of better this term.

LORD ERSKINE has won nine of his 33 starts when returned to the track within four weeks of a previous outing and backing him blind under these conditions would have yielded a profit of £59.35. Two of those wins came over hurdles and the son of Fast Company will relish today’s soft going.
