AMBER DEW (system – Kevin Philippart De Foy, first-time headgear, all-weather handicaps)
Kevin Philippart De Foy is eight from 33 when using first-time headgear in all-weather handicaps for a profit of £17.33 to a £1 level stake at SP. AMBER DEW failed to justify market support on her stable debut at Kempton last month but showed more when a non-staying 18-1 seventh over 7f at Southwell next time and today’s cut back to 6f, as well as the first-time cheekpieces, could bring about improvement.
UTTOXETER 3.10
LETTHEDUSTSETTLE (system – Tom Lacey, handicap hurdle debutants)
Tom Lacey is 25 from 107 with horses making their handicap hurdle debut and backing them blind would have returned a profit of £73.58 to the usual £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 14.90, A/E = 1.68). LETTHEDUSTSETTLE has form over course and distance on heavy ground and is likely to improve for the switch from maiden/novice company.

MAHARAJAS EXPRESS (system – Jack Jones, all-weather handicaps)
Jack Jones is 16 from 71 with his all-weather handicappers for a profit of £32.10 to a £1 level stake at SP. Like most progeny of Rajasinghe, MAHARAJAS EXPRESS has improved for headgear, finishing a close-up second over 6f at Lingfield in re-applied cheekpieces on his stable debut earlier this month before going one better when dropped to 5f at Wolverhampton. He did well to win under patient tactics from stall 1 that day and the yard’s last-time-out winners are 7-13 in all-weather handicaps.
