FONTWELL 2.00
Owners Goodwin Racing Ltd have had six runners at Fontwell, recording form figures of 241113 (3-6) for a profit of £14.33 to a £1 level stake at SP. One of those was GOODWIN, who landed a maiden bumper last February. That eight-length victory came on good ground but the softer conditions are unlikely to pose problems on breeding and Rex Dingle, who rides this track well, is likely to keep him wide in search of the better ground. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

NEWMARKET JOCKEYS
WILLIAM BUICK has a good book of rides at Newmarket on Wednesday and, with boss Charlie Appleby flying at present (eight wins from 16 runners in the past fortnight at the time of writing) he can be bought in the Spreadex NEWMARKET JOCKEYS market. All five of his mounts are Appleby-trained, starting with POINT SUR in the 2.25. The Too Darn Hot colt is bred to appreciate the soft conditions, looks well drawn in stall 11 and wasn’t beaten far in fourth place over course and distance on his debut earlier this month when the good to firm going was probably not ideal. TRIBAL STAR (3.00), a 550,000gns newcomer, looks a likely type on paper, while EMPEROR’S STAR (3.35) could leave last month’s York disappointment well behind now that he’s been gelded. MOUNTAIN SONG (4.10) has run below par at Ascot the last twice but could appreciate the change of scenery and BROADWAY ACT (5.20) is another son of Too Darn Hot who is likely to improve for soft going , despite having scored over course and distance on good to firm last month. Fixed odds punters might want to combine Buick’s mounts in a multiple bet.
