Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to the Flat action at Yarmouth and Hamilton for his recommended bets/trades on Wednesday, June 12th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

YARMOUTH 4.00

LEUVEN POWER finished a respectable fifth at Redcar last month on his reappearance and first start since a gelding operation, going down by two and a half lengths when 17-2 for a ten-runner 1m handicap. However, he had the best of the draw in stall 1 and that race took place on his preferred good to firm going. Roger Varian’s five-year-old scored twice on such a surface last year, with both wins coming at Salisbury, and he looks vulnerable on soft ground at Yarmouth today, especially as he was withdrawn on a similar surface at Thirsk last autumn. Sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Oppose LEUVEN POWER in Yarmouth 4.00

HAMILTON 6.20

MR TREVOR’s latest win came over course and distance but that was on good to soft going and his only other turf success also came when there was plenty of cut in the ground. Ann Duffield’s six-year-old has much faster going to contend with today and form figures on ground faster than good of 834566 (0-6) suggest that the second favourite could prove vulnerable in this amateur riders’ handicap. Serena Brotherton used to be one of the go-to pilots for these contests but, since the beginning of 2021, she’s ridden just 11 winners from 116 runners (9.5% strike-rate) for a loss of £72.88 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 18.56, A/E = 0.59), often looking weak in a finish. Sell in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market.

Recommendation: Oppose MR TREVOR in Hamilton 6.20
