Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew made a good profit with his two recommendations on Tuesday – SPLIT ELEVENS (won 5-2) & PADDY THE SQUIRE (2nd by a short head, 17-2) and has two more bets/trades on Wednesday, August 14th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
BEVERLEY 2.15
ACRISIUS needed his debut run when ninth of 12 in a 6f novice contest at Newcastle in late June and failed to handle the left-handed track when fifth at Catterick the following month, hanging to his right off the bend into the home straight. Beverley’s right-handed dog-leg proved more suitable just six days later, as did the drop to 5f, and he made the running from stall 1 to finish a half-length second at odds of 16-1, clocking a useful time in the process. That early speed will hold him in good stead again this afternoon and he could prove hard to pass. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back ACRISIUS in Beverley 2.15
SALISBURY 4.00
Early pace was the key ingredient in the 1m Visit racingtv.com Handicap at Leicester on June 27th, where the winner, Salamanca Lad, and runner-up raced one-two throughout. The third-placed finisher was also prominent, and it was the performance of HEY BIG SPENDER in fourth that took eye. The handicap debutante, drawn wide in stall 7 of 8, wasn’t helped by ducking left on leaving the stalls or by racing keenly in first-time blinkers. She kept on well to finish two lengths behind the winner (who went on to complete a hat-trick) and ran another solid fourth at Newbury shortly after, in a race that has worked out exceptionally well. Great Chieftain who won that 1m handicap ran second by a neck on his next start before a 20-1 Glorious Goodwood success, while the third and sixth both scored at the next time of asking (the runner-up also ran well in defeat). Hey Big Spender changed hands for 28,000gns after Newbury, joining in-form Ollie Sangster from William Haggas, and looks set to go well on her debut for new connections. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back HEY BIG SPENDER in Salisbury 4.00
