NEWCASTLE 12.30
BLUE HAWAII clocked a good time when an 11-1 runner-up in a course and distance amateur riders’ handicap last time and can break her all-weather duck today. She went close on Southwell’s Tapeta in the spring – finishing second by a neck at 10-1 – and her only other all-weather outing, a 22-1 sixth of 11 (also at Southwell), was probably needed on the back of a 136-day layoff. She looks well drawn in stall 7 and the race should be run to suit her patient style. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
