I’m surprised to see NOSTRA CASA forecast to start as the 13-2 outsider of six in the Racing Post, as Paul Flynn’s veteran, best with several weeks between his races, has been freshened up by a 44-day break since his respectable 14-1 sixth of 17 in handicap company over the 1m6f trio at the Curragh in late May. Since joining his current yard, the son of Dubawi has form figures of 14311 (3-5) when rested for at least six weeks, with the wins at 16-1, 8-1 and 5-1. The step back up in trip will suit and, while the small field might not be 100% ideal for one who likes the to come from off the pace, there’s compensation in the price.
