Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to Chepstow and Southwell (all-weather) for his two recommended bets/trades on Tuesday, January 30th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
CHEPSTOW 4.30
The Philip Hobbs and Johnson White yard is in fine form at present and, in the past fortnight, their runners to start at odds of 5-1 or shorter have recorded form figures of 111F111 (6-7). BOBBY’S NELSON, runner-up in his sole outing between the flags and the yard’s only representative across the country today, cost connections £60,000 and was trading at around the 3-1 or 7-2 mark for this bumper at the time of writing. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back BOBBY’S NELSON in Chepstow 4.30
SOUTHWELL 7.00
Since Southwell introduced their Tapeta surface front-runners have done well in 7f handicaps, landing 21 of their 110 starts (19.1%) for a profit of £113.25 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 12.03, A/E = 1.75). Predicting who is going to lead before the race is now always as simple as glanding at a pace map, as tactics can be altered by connections, especially when handicap debutants, first-time headgear and the application of cash are involved! However, the Gay Kelleway-trained HAYA TAAL has received close-up comments from the Racing Post of ‘led’, ‘led’ and ‘led’ on his three most recent starts and looks the obvious pace angle in this Class 6 contest. Cheekpieces are replaced a first-time visor and, since the beginning of 2008, his in-form handler is 12 from 78 with this headgear for a profit of £79.39 to a £1 level stake at SP. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back HAYA TAAL in Southwell 7.00
