Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to the Flat meetings at Wetherby and Southwell for his two recommended bets/trades on Sunday, April 28th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
WETHERBY 3.00
GEMSTAR was too keen for her own good when runner-up over 7f at Newcastle on her racecourse debut and took a backwards step when only third over 1m (evens favourite) at the same venue next time. However, the daughter of Zoustar is bred to appreciate the switch to soft turf for the for time and her sire’s progeny have a good record when cutting back in trip from 1m to today’s 7f, with the last ten qualifiers producing three winners (18-1, 10-1 and 7-2). Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back GEMSTAR in Wetherby 3.00
SOUTHWELL 3.10
James Tate’s newcomer SMART HERO was trading short in the morning betting for a 7f novice contest at Kempton just 11 days ago, despite having the worst of the draw in stall 13 of 13. The son Of Shamardal drifted late (11-1 from 6-1) but still ran a huge race, going down by a neck in second place after missing the break and running green. The winner and third were both raced prominently from low draws, and it’s interesting to see him out again so quickly. The step up to 1m will suit and the switch to Tapeta is unlikely to be an issue on breeding. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back SMART HERO in Southwell 3.10
