Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to the meetings at Aintree and Newcastle (all-weather) for his two recommended bets/trades on Saturday, November 11th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

AINTREE STARTING PRICES

The fields sizes are smaller than usual for Aintree’s Grand Sefton meeting on Saturday but on deep ground we are likely to have at least a couple of surprise results and a buy of STARTING PRICES with Spreadex is recommended. The opening novices’ hurdle is unlikely to produce an upset but race two – the 3m1f novices’ limited handicap chase – features a vulnerable odds-on favourite in the shape of GIOVINCO, who unseated over Carlisle’s soft fences on his Rules chase debut and also fell in one of his point-to-point starts. The Pertemps Qualifier (1.35) might not run to form – it certainly wasn’t two years ago when 80-1 shot Koshari won – and the Grand Sefton (2.45) has thrown up winners at 25-1, 20-1 and 20-1 in recent years. MASTER CHEWY is a short price for the handicap chase (2.10) but his yard’s last ten last-time out winners were all beaten when bidding to follow up) and the race looks ripe for an upset.

Recommendation: Buy STARTING PRICES at Aintree

NEWCASTLE 3.45

The draw is an important but often ignored factor when considering races on the round course (distances of 1m2f or further) at Newcastle. Since the Tapeta surface was introduced, stalls 1, 2 and 3 have a combined record of just 22 winners from 564 runners in handicaps of 12 or more runners for a huge loss of £318.63 to a £1 level stake at SP. The expected number of runners, based on their odds, was 37.17. Stall 1 has an especially poor record, landing just four from 188 against an expected figure of 12.43. LOCAL DYNASTY (stall 1 of 14) heads the betting for the Virgin Bet November Handicap but has the worst of the draw and can be take on. Sell in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market.

Recommendation: Oppose LOCAL DYNASTY in Newcastle 3.45
