Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew heads to Haydock, Bangor and Beverley for his three recommended bets/trades on Saturday, June 8th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

HAYDOCK 2.25

With pace angle MAGHLAAK a non-runner on account of the very fast going this 1m4f handicap can fall to STRUTH, who might be able to boss proceedings under Richard Kingscote. Charlie Johnston’s four-year-old has yet to win above Class 4 level (he’s in Class 2 company today) but the small field will help, as his record when faced with a field of eight or fewer runners stands at 135123 (2-6), with the fifth place on Newmarket’s Rowley Mile course where he has disappointed in all three visits. He could only finish tenth of 14 at Epsom last week but did too much too soon and he actually fared second best of those to race anywhere near the front end in the early stages. The son of Australia ran a blinder on his only previous visit to Haydock, doing best of the prominent racers in third after not quite seeing out the 1m6f trip. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price. Those looking for a bigger return may also want to play him in a reversed forecast with stablemate KNIGHTSWOOD.

Recommendation: Back STRUTH in Haydock 2.25

BANGOR 2.50

FEEL THE PINCH has a fine record in the March to November period, recording form figures of 698114113U31161912 (8-18) for a profit of £52.63 to a £1 level stake at SP, improving to 8114113U31111 (8-13) in fields of nine or fewer runners for a profit of £57.63. His non-winter/small-field Bangor runs have returned form figures of 11U11 (4-5) and Robbie Llewellyn’s veteran faces just eight rivals after his second of 13 over course and distance last time. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back FEEL THE PINCH in Bangor 2.50

BEVERLEY 3.50

Charlie Johnston’s LUDO’S LANDING will be popular in the betting for this 1m2f handicap on the strength of his last-time-out Hamilton fourth of 14 over the 1m3f trip. However, he looked flattered that day as the pace collapsed and the first four finishers were described by the Racing Post as…

Held up in rear

Towards rear

Midfield

Midfield, outpaced 2f out, steady headway from over 1f out, went fourth final stride

The four-year-old is unbeaten in two starts at Carlisle but is now 0-22 at other venues and can be sold in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Oppose LUDO’S LANDING in Beverley 2.50
