Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
Andrew heads to the top Flat action at Ascot and York for his three recommended bets/trades on Saturday, July 27th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
YORK 2.05
Low-drawn runners dominated in the big-field 6f handicap here last night, with the first five six drawn 3, 5, 4, 1, 8 and 2 of 21 and it I want to side with the low draws in the “Jump Jockeys’ Nunthorpe”. All six previous winners of this race had the benefit of a recent outing (within four weeks) and those qualifiers drawn in stall 8 or lower were five from 39 for a profit of £41.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. David O’Meara’s SOUL SEEKER, winner of this race last year and in 2021, was poorly drawn in stall 19 when only 13th in the 2022 renewal and looks well berthed in stall 6 of 19 this time around. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back SOUL SEEKER in York 2.05
ASCOT 2.25
SIRONA has yet to win in three starts for David Menusier after leaving the care of Charlie Johnston but has performed with great credit on each occasion, going down by just half a length in third (22-1) in the Group 3 Chartwell Fillies’ Stakes at Lingfield, finishing a length back in second when 12-1 for the Group 3 John Of Gaunt Stakes at Haydock and, last time out, faring best of the closers when a 22-1 fifth in the Group 1 Falmouth Stakes. Her patient running style will be perfect for Ascot, the drop back to Group 3 level will suit and Oisin Murphy is back on board. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back SIRONA in Ascot 2.25
YORK 2.40
BADRI is perhaps drawn a shade higher than ideal in stall 10 of 14 but Julie Camacho’s seven-year-old looked unlucky in a hot 5f handicap at Ascot last time, going down by three lengths in an 11-1 ninth of 17 after meeting trouble in running. He’s effective over an easy 6f and should encounter the required strong pace. Like most of his yard’s runners this season, he’s been slow to get going but that latest effort suggested his turn was near and he looks the value play. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back BADRI in York 2.40
