Today’s stamina sapping 3m4f trip will hold no fears for the Michael Scudamore-trained COURT MASTER, who proved his liking for a marathon distance with an 11-1 fourth in last year’s 4m1f Eider chase at Newcastle – an excellent run in a Class 2 event, a grade he’s often struggled in. His record in chases in Class 2 company or above now reads 8260P2348P (0-10) and he will appreciate the return to a lower grade, in which he’s produced form figures over fences of 111411 (5-6). He’s had wind surgery since his last start, a procedure that he’s benefitted from previously, and has decent claims under conditions that should suit. Buy in the 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price with Spreadex.

WOLVERHAMPTON 8.30
LOS CAMACHOS returned to action at Kempton in February after a lengthy absence and had little chance after failing to settle from a wide draw (stall 14), finishing a well-beaten 66-1 11th of 13 to Satin Snake. He was entitled to come on for the run and filled the same position on his next start at Southwell where he was trapped out wide from another poor draw (stall 14). He wasn’t given a hard time in the closing stages and plugged on to finish five lengths behind winner Turbo Command. He’s sure to strip fitter this time and although again drawn wide it shouldn’t be a major disadvantage in this smaller field. In-form apprentice Kaiya Fraser, successful on the yard’s Rivas Rob Roy earlier this month, takes off a valuable 7lb and off a career low mark (58) he might be value to bounce back to form. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
