Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:

Andrew bids to get the new week off to a flyer with two recommended bets/trades at Lingfield and Pontefract on Monday, June 10th. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:

LINGFIELD 4.05

At the time of writing TWILIGHT BALLET (stall 5 of 10) was priced up at 7-2 for this 5f restricted maiden but Andrew Balding’s newcomer could be worth opposing. Progeny of his sure Twilight Son have a poor record on their racecourse debuts, landing just four of their 204 starts (2%)) for a loss of £182.59 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 11.40, A/E = 0.35). The two-year-old could have been better drawn and rates a sell in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market.

Recommendation: Oppose TWILIGHT BALLET in Lingfield 4.05

PONTEFRACT 9.00

MOTAGALLY had a fine record in sprints on left-handed turf tracks when trained by Charles Hills, recording form figures of 111 (3-3), with the wins on officially good to firm going at Brighton and officially firm ground at Bath (twice). He achieved an official rating of 102 in the summer of 2021 and I suggested in print that he should be sold to race in the US or Hong Kong as there simply weren’t suitable opportunities for him in the UK. I had expected good things when he joined Scott Dixon for 58,000gns in the autumn of 2021 but there have only been hints of his old form in 14 races for new connections, notably a 40-1 second of 19 in a 7f fast-ground handicap at York at about this time last year. It takes a leap of faith to support the eight-year-old in this 6f Class 5 handicap , bids to get but this is only his second run in a left-handed turf sprint for current connections (the other came on unsuitably soft going when down the field over 5f at Catterick) and he could surprise. Buy in the Spreadex 50-25-10 market or back him each-way at a fixed odds price.

Recommendation: Back MOTAGALLY in Pontefract 9.00
