Spreadex offers both normal fixed odds betting plus spread betting on horse racing. There are some key differences between this form of gambling and placing regular fixed odds bets. Get the calls right and punters could win big, but the potential to lose money can be much higher. Intrigued? Then check out this how to spread bet on horse racing guide:
It’s All-Weather Finals Day at Newcastle on Good Friday (March 29th) where Andrew heads for his two recommended bets/trades. Follow his tips this week and all year round on horse racing betting sites with the lowdown on his latest picks below:
NEWCASTLE 1.53
SPARTAN ARMY, unbeaten in three starts on the all-weather, understandably heads the betting for the 2m All-Weather Championships Marathon but he makes little appeal at odds of around 3-1, especially if he goes from the front as he has done in the past (prominent racers don‘t have a great record over this course and distance). Of greater interest at three or four times the price is George Scott’s PRYDWEN, whose form ties in closely with that of that favourite The six-year-old scored twice at a low level on turf but has a superior strike-rate on the all-weather, landing four of his 11 such starts. When returned to the track withing four weeks of his latest outing his record on synthetics becomes 13112 (3-5), with the latest defeat by a neck to Spartan Army. Buy in the Spreadex 50-30-20-10 market or take a fixed odds price.
Recommendation: Back PRYDWEN in Newcastle 1.53
NEWCASTLE 4.10
The inside of the track is rarely the place to be on Newcastle’s round course (distances of 1m2f or further), putting low-drawn runners at a disadvantage, especially in big fields. Since the spring of 2016, backing all those drawn in stalls 1, 2 and 3 in handicaps of 12+ runners would have found just 25 winners from 594 bets (4.2% strike-rate) for a loss of £310.63 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 39.50, A/E = 0.63). Two of the market leaders for this 1m2f handicap have low draws – OH SO GRAND (stall 1 of 14 ) and PENZANCE (stall 3) – and there could be some value in taking them on. The best method to oppose the pair is to Buy DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER with Spreadex.
Recommendation: Buy DOUBLE DRAW OF WINNER in Newcastle 4.10
