GO BIG OR GO HOME (system – Paddy Twomey stable switchers)
Paddy Twomey does well at the first time of asking with horses he takes over from other yards, scoring with 12 of the 33 qualifiers for a profit of £16.22 to a £1 level stake at SP. They have a phenomenal record in maiden company (albeit from a small sample), recording form figures of 13111121 (6-8) for a profit of £11.21. GO BIG OR GO HOME showed promise in two starts of Bryan Smart and the daughter of Lope De Vega is worth a bet on her debut for her new handler.
MUSSELBURGH 1.50
INDIVIDUALISM (system – Charlie Johnston, early-season Musselburgh races)
The Johnston yard has a good record in early-season (March/April) contests at Musselburgh and, since 2016, backing all Mark/Charlie Johnston-trained runners would have found 13 winners from 59 bets for a profit of £24.63. INDIVIDUALISM is one of several darts they’ve thrown at the board today and the son of Too Darn Hot will relish the soft conditions.

GLORIOUS ANGEL (system – Grant Tuer, fillies/mares in handicaps)
Grant Tuer has a fine recent record with his fillies and mares in turf handicap company (whether taking on male horses or their own sex), scoring with 23 of the 109 qualifiers since the beginning of 2019 for a profit of £31.77 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 15.10, A/E = 1.52). GLORIOUS ANGEL is 0-10 on this angle but has made the frame on seven occasions and might be able to reward each-way support once more.

FAST RESPONSE (system – Fast Company, Flat, soft or heavy going)
Progeny of the sire Fast Company usually perform best on soft or heavy going, landing 141 of their 1040 Flat starts on such a surface (13.6% strike-rate) for a profit of £20.60 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected wins = 109.33, A/E = 1.29). FAST REPONSE certainly enjoyed the mud when with Karl Burke, with the two most recent of his six wins coming on officially heavy going. He’s capable of running well when fresh and is worth a speculative interest on his debut for Joseph O’Brien.

AMAZONIAN WARRIOR (system – Amo Racing-owned newcomers)
Owners Amo Racing have a great record with newcomers, regardless of age and who trains them. Had we backed 185 qualifiers we’d have found the winner on 41 occasions (22.2% strike-rate) and made a profit of £36.23. Those trained in Ireland did especially well, landing six of their 14 starts for a profit of £26.25, and AMAZONIAN WARRIOR looks the Adrian Murray first string of the two qualifiers in this maiden.
