MONTEROSA (system – Gosden yard, first-time hood)
John & Thady Gosden’s MONTEROSA started at double-figure odds when beaten in three outings in maiden/novice company, but the Lope De Vega filly has shown ability and might do better now handicapping in a first-time hood. Since 2014, the Gosden yard is 24 from 65 (37%) with this headgear for a huge profit of £124.17 to a £1 level stake at SP.
WINDSOR 3.50
INVINCIBLE PASS (system – Invincible Spirit, first-time tongue-tie)
Progeny of sire Invincible Spirit have a good record when fitted with a first-time tongue-tie, landing 37 of their 200 starts (18.5% strike-rate) for a profit of £58.66 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 18). In-form Hugo Palmer reaches for the headgear ahead of INVINCIBLE PASS’s debut and he can cause a minor upset.
WOLVERHAMPTON 5.30
HEATER (system – Michael Bell, second-time out 2yos, all-weather)
Since the beginning of 2012, Michael Bell is eight from 73 with his second-time out juveniles on synthetics for a profit of £57.06 to a £1 level stake at SP. Those who had been rested for me than three weeks were eight from 31 for a profit of £99.06. HEATER was only 12th of 14 at Kempton on his debut but actually clocked the third-best last-time-out speed figure (according to Proform’s ratings) and could reward each-way support this evening.
