LEICESTER 1.30
ONE TRUE KING (system – Nigel Twiston-Davies, conditional jockeys, early-season hurdles & chases)
Nigel Twiston-Davies has a useful record when using a conditional jockey in hurdles/chases in the months of October and November, scoring with 24 of the 112 qualifiers (21.4% strike-rate) since 2020 for a profit of £69.72 to a £1 level stake at SP. ONE TRUE KING was only beaten by four and a half lengths when sixth of 19 at Cheltenham last month and will find this easier.
EXETER 3.30
PIMLICO POINT (system – Kerry Lee, first run after a wind operation, chasers)
Kerry Lee is five from 18 with her chasers on their first start back after a win operation for a profit of £35.50 to a £1 level stake at SP. Three of the beaten horses finished second (20-1, 11-1 and 5-2) and perhaps point-to-point winner PIMLICO POINT can add to those gains on his rules chase debut.
KEMPTON 5.00
NEW CHELSEA (system – Ralph Beckett, first-time blinkers in all-weather handicaps)
NEW CHELSEA trailed home ten lengths back in fourth when 5-6 for a nursery at Newmarket last time but that run, his first since a gelding operation, might have been needed and he’s worth another chance now wearing first-time blinkers. Since 2010, Ralph Beckett is 12 from 55 (21.8%) with first-time blinkered runners in all-weather handicaps for a profit of £32.40 to a £1 level stake at SP. Three of those were running at Kempton on their second start since gelded and all three won (8-1, 7-1 and 7-1).
