GETAGIN (system – Sandy Thomson, winter runners)
Since 2012, Sandy Thomson has a 102 from 515 record with his runners from November-January, including 14-1 scorer Go Boy at Carlisle yesterday to take the profit to £263.98 to a £1 level stake. GETAGIN, one of four stable runners at Musselburgh today, fell at the last when booked for second place in his sole point-to-point outing but that form looks useful, with winner Champagne Twist going on to finish a respectable fourth at 16-1 in an Ascot maiden hurdle for Ben Pauling
WOLVERHAMPTON 5.30
MR INFLUENCE (system – Richard Hannon, second run after a wind operation)
Richard Hannon is seven from 29 with runners having their second start after a wind operation and backing them blind would have retuned a profit of £70.58 to a £1 level stake at SP. MR INFLUENCE didn’t show much on his debut at Lingfield earlier this month but is bred to appreciate the switch to Tapeta and is worth chancing to very small stakes.
WOLVERHAMPTON 7.00
NEOPOLITAN (system – Crisford yard, handicap debut)
The stable of Simon & Ed Crisford does well with handicap debutants, scoring with 68 of the 270 qualifiers (25.2%) for a profit of £13.68 to a £1 level stake at SP. At Wolverhampton only the score is eight from 22 (36.4%, +£14.18) and NEOPILITAN, whose record on the all-weather reads 122 (1-3), with the first defeat by a nose, can double his career tally.
