NEWMARKET 2.53
SKIPPER (system – Tom Clover, gelded newcomers)
Tom Clover has a good record with gelded newcomers, scoring with six of the 40 qualifiers for a profit of £66.00 to a £1 level stake at SP. The three-year-olds were five from 29 (+£69.00) and SKIPPER could be worth a speculative interest in this novice contest.
HAMILTON 6.05
KISS ME MY LOVE (system – Charlie Johnston, juvenile debutantes, sprints)
The Johnston yard does well with two-year-old fillies on their debuts, especially in sprints (5f-6f), scoring with 54 of the 241 qualifiers (22.4%) since the beginning of 2012 for a profit of £84.61 to a £1 level stake at SP (expected winners = 38.76, A/E = 1.39). KISS ME MY LOVE should be ready to go at the first time of asking and the daughter of Invincible Spirit can land this 5f restricted maiden.
NEWBURY 3.30
CARDEROCK (system – second time out 2yos, top four finish at Goodwood on debut)
Richard Hannon’s better juveniles often debut at Goodwood and those who finished in the top four at the Sussex venue had a good record at the second time of asking, landing 17 of their 43 starts (39.5%) for a profit of £5.93. Those who were strong in the market at Goodwood (starting in the top three in the betting) were 16 from 28 (57.1%) for a profit of £19.48. CADEROCK was sent off as the 9-2 co second favourite of three when a respectable fourth at Goodwood earlier this month, staying on well after blowing the start, and should know more this time.
HAMILTON 6.40
CATHERINE CHROI (system – Iain Jardine, last time out winners, recent run, turf)
Iain Jardine has a fine record with last time out winners on turf 9Flat and jumps combined) who were returned to the track within 20 days, scoring with 66 of the 218 qualifiers (30.3%) for a profit of £58.47. CATHERINE CHROI has contributed with two wins on this angle recently (5-2 and 5-4) and might be able to defy a 10lb penalty in this 6f handicap.
HAMILTON 7.50
MAJESTIC NEWLAW (system – New Bay, top three finish last time out)
Progeny of New Bay tend to hold their form well and simply backing those who finished in the top three on their latest outing would have found 140 winners from 521 bets (26.7%) for a profit of £133.56 to a £1 level stake at SP. Iain Jardine’s MAJESTIC NEWLAW, runner-up at Ayr last time out on her second outing for the yard, can go one better.
