Backing all runners in the pink colours of the Megson family would have found 58 winners from 359 bets (16.2% strike-rate) for a profit of £61.21 to a £1 level stake at SP. Ben Pauling had a winner for the owners at Wetherby yesterday and HERCULES MORSE, who would have found the ground quicker than ideal when sixth at Exeter last time, can bounce back to winning ways.

LAKOTA BRAVE (system – Archie Watson newcomers on the AW< colts and geldings)
Archie Watson has a fine record with newcomers on the all-weather, especially the colts and geldings. He’s won with 33 of the 114 qualifiers (29%) for a profit of £43.58. LAKOTA BRAVE, a son of Sioux Nation, looks a likely type on paper and can score at the first time of asking under Hollie Doyle.

BEYLERBEYI (system – Ian Williams handicappers, March)
Ian Williams traditionally does well with his handicappers as spring approaches, scoring with 73 of the 407 qualifiers (18%) in March since 2010 for a profit of £58.54 to the usual £1 stake. BEYLERBEYI drops in trip after his narrow 2nd over 7f last time, but the likely strong pace and stiff finish will play to his strengths.
