Ligue 1 champions PSG are reportedly set to reignite their pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt forward Randal Kolo Muani despite the Frenchman being heavily linked with a move to the Premier League.

Ousmane Dembele to PSG has been the story dominating the headlines this afternoon, but one that may have gone under the radar is that of the French champions’ reignited interest in Randal Kolo Muani.

Last year’s Ligue 1 winners have long been linked with a move for the Eintracht Frankfurt striker, however L’Equipe revealed that the club’s sporting advisor Luis Campos had indicated that any deal for the forward was off.

But today, the same outlet report that PSG are renewing their efforts to sign the French international, and that club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi himself has reached out to the player’s entourage.

The report claims that talks have been moving forward, and that they are set step up once the Parisiens complete the signing of Dembele from Barcelona.

PSG had been linked with Victor Osimhen and Harry Kane previously, but with both now out of reach due to their hefty price tags, the club look to have opted for Kolo Muani.

Kolo Muani has been subject to plenty of interest throughout the window, especially from the Premier League, but his Bundesliga employers remain hopeful that he will stay put.

Manchester United had been linked, but seem to have opted for Rasmus Hojlund from Atalanta, and in recent weeks Tottenham have been linked amid the proposed departure of talisman Harry Kane to Bayern Munich.

It was Kolo Muani’s breakthrough campaign in the German top flight last term, therefore interest from Europe’s elite is hardly surprising.

The frontman notched 23 goals and 17 assists in 46 appearances for Frankfurt in 2022/23, and made three appearances for France at the World Cup in Qatar.
