PSG reportedly have an agreement in place with Bayern Munich to sign French defender Lucas Hernandez, with the 27-year-old prepared to sign on the dotted line in order to secure a return to his native country.

Bayern Munich defender Lucas Hernandez is close to completing a move back to his native France by joining PSG, according to reports.

The 27-year-old has enjoyed a four-year spell with the German champions, but now looks set to join the champions of France instead.

After reports linking Hernandez to PSG emerged several weeks ago, Fabrizio Romano has now confirmed that there is a deal in place between the clubs, and the player is prepared to sign the contract.

Hernandez is set to be replaced by Kim-min Jae, with Bayern now in the final stages of negotiations to sign the South Korean.

Romano revealed the latest on Hernandez’s transfer to PSG on his social platforms on Thursday afternoon.

“Lucas Hernández to PSG, here we go! Deal in place and agreed as expected since last week. Permanent transfer for €48/50m total package.” he tweeted.

“Hernández, already in Paris and set to sign the contract on Thursday.

“Bayern will replace him with Kim Min-jae as revealed today.”

During his four-year spell in Munich, Hernandez has helped fill Bayern’s shelves with several trophies.

Four Bundesliga titles, one Champions League title, a Super Cup, a Club World Cup, and one DFB Pokal as well as a DFL Supercup comprise the list of honours during his time with the Bavarians.

Hernandez is also a World Cup winner, as well as a runner up, and will almost certainly add medals to his cabinet with a move to PSG.
