Having lifted his first televised title at the Masters on Sunday night, Dobey has had his place confirmed amongst the eight-man Premier League field.
Dobey has previously featured in the Premier League as a challenge in 2019 and 2020, but will now take part in the event full-time over the next four months.
World Champion and world No. 1 Michael Smith will headline this year’s invitational following his heroics at Alexandra Palace at the start of January. He’s already won another tournament since his World Championship win, after winning the Bahrain Masters earlier on this month.
Delighted to win Bahrain Masters. I dug deep and rode my luck a bit at times but great to get win. Thanks for all the messages of support. @UnicornDarts #AndyFreight @Goodwin_Racing @SkySportsDarts @dartingp @OfficialPDC pic.twitter.com/2mYQAKhsuc

Gerwyn Price also returns to the line-up for a fifth time looking for his first Premier League win.
Meanwhile Michael van Gerwen is chasing a record-breaking seventh Premier League title, with 2017 runner up Peter Wright making his tenth consecutive appearance in the event.
2021 champion Jonny Clayton finished top of last year’s Premier League, however couldn’t go on to win it all together, and he returns to the line-up once again.
There’s also two more in Nathan Aspinall and Dimitri van den Bergh who have returned to the line-up after a year’s absence.
Last year’s finalist Joe Cullen, who missed a dart to win the title in a breathtaking final against MVG misses out on a place in this year’s event. Other notable absentees from the line-up are reigning European Champion Ross Smith, UK Open champion Danny Noppert, and four-time European Tour winner and world No. 5 Luke Humphries.
