Paddy Power are the new sponsors of the upcoming PDC World Championships at Alexandra Palace. And the bookmaker famed for their ‘out of the box’ marketing ideas are getting stuck in by pledging £1,000 to Prostate Cancer UK for every 180 scored.
Prostate Cancer Charity To Get £1k From Paddy Power For Every 180 Scored At PDC World Championships
The new PDC World Championship sponsors Paddy Power teased with the idea of turning the treble 20 green (from red) recently in a bid to hit the ground running at the biggest darts event of the year.
However, they failed to hit the bullseye with this proposal. Instead, the top bookmaker, who are no strangers to thinking outside the box when it comes to marketing their brand, have come up with a masterplan idea that is a ‘win-win’ for all concerned.
The Paddy Power creative team have banged their heads together and come up with a masterful ‘180’ plan. This will not only win them plenty of fans but will also see them giving hundreds of thousands of pounds to charity.
In short, Paddy Power will give a staggering £1,000 to @ProstateUK for every 180 scored at the 2024 PDC World Championships. With the action getting going on Friday 15th December with the final on Wednesday 3rd January 2024.
1 in 8 men are diagnosed with prostate cancer, but is curable is caught early enough. Paddy Power and the PDC World Championship are raising awareness in a bid to get over 180,000 men in the UK to take a 30 second check.

Last Year 901 PDC World Championship 180’s Were Scored
If the 180 figures from last year at the PDC World Championship are anything to go by, then Paddy Power could be shelling out over £900,000 to Prostate Cancer UK. There were 901 maximum scores over the 2023 tournament so we can expect the 180’s to be in and around this figure again.
World Number One Michael Smith Could See Paddy Power Giving £80k To Charity (based on 2022 figures)
Top seed – Michael Smith – is a player the Paddy Power guys will also be keeping tabs on. The current PDC champ holds the record for the most 180’s scored in the tournament. When he fired in a massive 83 back in 2022.
Michael “Bully Boy” Smith is as big as 9/1 with the sponsors Paddy Power and the best UK betting sites to go all the way again. With Luke Humphries the betting favourite at 7/2 as he looks for his first PDC title.
