The anticipation for Monday’s first round matches is building at tennis‘ most prestigious venue. In preparation for what is shaping up to be one of the most hotly-contested editions in recent memory, we are taking a look at the latest Wimbledon odds for both the men’s and women’s singles.

Considering there have been six different champions across the previous eight editions, it takes a brave bettor to pick a winner in the women’s singles at Wimbledon.
It befalls to fellow frontrunners Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina to try and prevent Swiatek from blowing away the competition.
The latter prevailed victorious in last year’s competition to lift her very first grand slam, sweeping aside Ons Jabeur in three sets. The Kazakh competitor hadn’t lost a match on grass since that win last year until her defeat to Donna Vekic in Berlin last week, but she remains the strongest of the field on this surface and her all-court abilities should see her into the latter stages.
She was forced to pull out of the French Open last month with a troubling virus, which has also seen her withdraw from her warm-up event at Eastbourne this week – she remains on course for an appearance here however.
As for Sabalenka, the Australian Open champion got her first taste of grand slam glory in January after beating Rybakina in three sets, which propelled her into another successful run in the season’s second major.
She eventually lost out to Swiatek in the French Open semi-final, but the Belorussian has the aggressive, imposing style needed to be successful at Wimbledon and will be looking to better her 2021 semi-final finish.
Petra Kvitova is a two-time Wimbledon champion and is the next-best in the outright markets beyond this season’s standout three, while last year’s finalist Ons Jabeur and teen sensation Coco Gauff are both still searching for their first major triumphs.

Can anyone stop Novak Djokovic? The Serbian certainly has a claim to the ‘greatest of all time’ label after surpassing Rafael Nadal in all-time grand slam wins (23).
Wimbledon has long been synonymous with Roger Federer, whose graceful elegance lent itself to the pomp and prestige of the All England Lawn club. He finished his career as an eight-time winner here, a record that can be equaled by Djokovic next month as he eyes his fifth consecutive singles title.
At 36, he has shown almost no signs of slowing down and it is becoming harder to decipher which, if any, surface is his least preferential.
Carlos Alcaraz is the man who can spoil the party. If it wasn’t for an unfortunate bout of cramp in the third set of the French Open final against Djokovic, the Spaniard may well have added to his US Open triumph last year.
It is hard to pinpoint a weakness in his game – an alarming prospect for the rest of the field given he is still in his infancy when it comes to his grand slam career.
His relative lack of success on grass is perhaps the factor many observers will point to, but he enters with the best possible preparation under his belt after lifting his first ever title on this surface at Queens last week.

Daniil Medvedev is one of the few competitors to have beaten Djokovic in a major final, but the Russian has endured a frustrating run since – not only has he never gone beyond the fourth round at Wimbledon, but he crashed out in the first round of the French Open in May.
A whole generation of budding young competitors will try and prevent Djokovic’s valiant final stand. Italian all-courter Jannik Sinner is a quarter-finalist in all four grand slams at just 21 and his outstanding athleticism has seen him excel on this surface.
Scandinavian pair Holger Rune and Casper Ruud have impressed on the Tour this season with the latter finishing runner-up for the second year in a row at Roland-Garros, while the likes of last year’s finalist Nick Kygrios, Alexander Zverev, Taylor Fritz and Stefanos Tsitsipas all have the talent and ever-growing tournament know-how to mount a challenge.
