A potentially crucial bottom-of-the-table meeting on Sunday sees Everton travel to the Midlands to face Forest, with the latter able to move within four points of the top half. Below you can find the most up-to-date odds, teams news and predictions in our Nottingham Forest vs Everton preview.

Nottingham Forest vs Everton Preview

Sean Dyche’s reign as Everton manager has been indicative of their inconsistent season so far, with their performances dropping ever since the infamous win against league leaders Arsenal in his first match in the dugout.

They were put to the sword by the Gunners in the reverse fixture in midweek, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli dismantling a disjointed, lacklustre Toffees defence, with an eventual scoreline of 4-0.

They will have to try and attempt to get a result against a Nottingham Forest side who possess the ninth-best home record in the Premier League, and are unbeaten at the City Ground in their previous seven.

As for the Tricky Reds, they were thumped 4-0 by West Ham last time out in a disheartening defeat, particularly after managing to hold champions Manchester City to a draw in the game prior.

The reverse of the fixture way back in August saw Demarai Gray snatch a late equaliser in the dying minutes after Brennan Johnson had given Forest the lead 10 minutes before.

Nottingham Forest vs Everton Team News

The home side have an extensive injury list for this match-up, with nine first team players sidelined on Sunday. Scott McKenna, Willy Boly, Moussa Niakhate and Serge Aurier are all missing from the defence, while the likes of Taiwo Awoniyi, Dean Henderson, Giulian Biancone, Omar Richards and Cheikhou Kouyate are set to miss out.

Nottingham Forest Line-Up: Navas; Aurier, Worrall, Felipe, Lodi; Freuler, Shelvey, Coback; Johnson, Gibbs-White; Wood

Everton meanwhile may see a host of personnel changes after a dismal display in North London. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see top scorer Demarai Gray return to the 11 after failing to tie down a starting spot since Dyche’s arrival, while Neil Maupay will likely lead the line with Dominic Calvert-Lewin still sidelined through injury.

Everton Line-Up: Pickford; Coleman, Keane, Tarkowski, Godfrey; Iwobi, Onana, Doucoure, Gueye, McNeil; Gray

Prediction: Nottingham Forest 2 – 0 Everton
