Nottingham Forest are reportedly preparing a £20m bid for Manchester United goalkeeper, Dean Henderson, as he looks to leave Old Trafford this summer.

As the Red Devils agree a deal for Inter Milan shot-stopper Andre Onana, the English goalkeeper’s future at Old Trafford appears to be all-but decided.

Henderson spent the 2022-23 campaign on loan in Nottingham and according to reports, Forest are preparing a £20m bid for the United player.

Many wondered if Henderson would be next in-line for the number one spot in Manchester after David De Gea’s 12-year spell at the club came to an end – however Erik ten Hag appears to be looking elsewhere.

Henderson made 20 appearances under Steve Cooper last season, however, his last Premier League appearance came in January due to a repeated thigh injury.

The 26-year-old was reportedly keen on becoming United’s number one, but ten Hag is unlikely to keep a hold of him this season, after a successful 2022-23 campaign.

The 2022-23 campaign saw success return to Old Trafford once again, as the Red Devils won silverware for the first time in seven years.

Not only did Erik ten Hag win the Carabao Cup in his opening season, the Dutchman also guided his side to third place in the Premier League.

Securing Champions League football was vital for the club’s ambition in the coming transfer window, as a host of Europe’s elite players have been linked with a move to Manchester.

Andre Onana and Mason Mount are the first two players to agree deals with the club and a host of players are also expected to leave.

Henderson has two-years remaining on his current contract and a £20m bid could be enough to pry the Englishman away from his boyhood club.
